Shankar to do a sequel to 1996 Blockbuster ?

Shankar is busy working on his new project "Nanban" which is the remake of the hindi blockbuster 3 idiots with Vijay in the lead. But which is going to be his next project?
If you can draw conclusions from his interview with vernacular magazine where he said "After Anna Hazare's movement, several people have been asking me to make a sequel to Indian. Even my producer, A M Rathnam, has been urging me to go ahead with the sequel. I will see how things pan out after Nanban releases."

The 1996 movie Indian grossed over $10 million at the box office marking a new career peak for the Tamil cinema industry which is set by actor Kamal Haasan at the age of 42.
Indian was nominated by India as its entry for the Best Foreign Language Film for the Academy Awards in 1996. The film also went on to win three National Film Awards including that of Best Actor for Kamal Haasan's portrayal, while his performance also saw him win at the Filmfare Awards and the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards.
Shankar's interview leaves us with lot of questions starting from 'Who will play the lead protogonist' to 'will the theme be the same'. We will defenitely try to get hold of Shankar to see if we can get some answers.
