Tirupati Congress MLA and Megastar Chiranjeevi on Sunday said that his 150th film will be coming up shortly.
Speaking to reporters at Renigunta airport in the afternoon, Chiranjeevi said that he was prompted to okay the project on the request of his brother Nagababu. "My son Ramcharan will be producing the film," he said.
He said he was happy with the outcome of Anna Hazare`s stir against corruption. He said that the move towards the Janlokpal Bill would pave way for a new era of development in the country.
The actor-politician maintained that the merger of the Praja Rajyam party with the Congress was beneficial to both the leaders.
Meanwhile, except for a couple of former Praja Rajyam leaders, none of the local Congress leaders or activists was present at the airport to receive Chiranjeevi, who was on a maiden visit to the pilgrim town as a Congressman.
Later, Chiranjeevi took part in the 100-days Celebrations of the film Rangam, starring Jeeva and Karthika, at Big Cinemas in the evening. Amidst much fanfare, Chiranjeevi complemented the Rangam team.
